My Aged Care

Support at Home Program for Podiatry

The Australian Government’s Support at Home program helps eligible older people remain safe and independent in their own homes. If podiatry is included in your support plan, Foot Wellbeing can provide care tailored to your foot health and mobility needs.

In-Clinic Podiatry

Our podiatrists can help with:

  • Foot health assessments: Checking your feet, circulation, mobility and any conditions that may affect your foot health.

  • Nail and skin care: Managing difficult nails, corns, calluses and other skin concerns.

  • Orthotic assessments: Assessing whether foot orthoses may help with support, comfort or mobility.

  • Falls prevention: Reviewing your walking, balance and footwear, and recommending ways to move more safely.

Podiatry Home Visits

If travelling to a clinic is difficult, Foot Wellbeing can bring podiatry care to your home. Our podiatrists provide personalised foot care to help you stay comfortable, mobile and independent.

Contact us to discuss home visit availability and whether podiatry is included in your Support at Home plan.

Footwear Through Support at Home

Some people may be eligible for clinically necessary footwear through the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme. Funding depends on your assessed needs, the type of footwear recommended and approval through your Support at Home provider.

1. Book an assessment

Call 03 9931 1385 to arrange a footwear assessment. A podiatrist will assess your feet, walking and footwear needs.

2. Seek funding approval

If appropriate, we can provide a clinical recommendation for your Support at Home provider to review against your plan and available AT-HM funding. Please wait for approval before ordering footwear.

3. Fitting and review

Once approved and supplied, we will check the fit and comfort of your footwear and review it with you as needed.

Put your best foot forward.

Making a booking with one of our professional podiatrists, who deal solely with the feet and lower limbs, is a great first step to long term foot health.
